When First Office approached Studio O+A’s co-founders, Primo Orpilla and Verda Alexander, to design a modular furniture system, they had definite ideas about what direction to take.

Their 20 years of experience creating environments for forward-thinking companies in Silicon Valley had given them an in-depth understanding of how people use furniture and of how technology, demographics and shifting cultural perspectives were changing the way we all work and live.

The result was The Edge, a flexible menu of components that can be combined in limitless ways to meet changing needs.
