OFS proudly returned as a sponsor of the Dubois County Pride Festival on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Riverwalk in Jasper, Indiana. Hosted by Dubois County Pride during LGBTQ+ History Month, the festival welcomed friends, families, and allies for a day of love, unity, and inclusion.
Festivalgoers of all ages enjoyed live music, entertainment, food trucks, local vendors, and activities throughout the day. Community organizations shared resources and messages of support for the LGBTQIA+ community, creating opportunities for connection, celebration, and self-expression.
Ahead of the festival, OFS connected with Dubois County Pride leadership to understand how the team could best support the event. One need stood out: comfortable places for festivalgoers to sit, rest, and enjoy the entertainment together. What began as a practical need became an opportunity to create a shared experience.
OFS teams crafted colorful picnic blankets from vibrant, patterned surplus textiles with water-resistant vinyl backing. Spread across the open lawn, the blankets gave attendees a comfortable place to enjoy the live music, aerial performances, and festival activities. Guests could then take their blankets home to reuse, extending the experience long after the event. Offered with a suggested donation to Dubois County Pride, the blankets also helped support the organization's events, resources, and community initiatives throughout the year. From production to festival preparations, the effort brought multiple OFS teams together to give surplus materials a new purpose while creating something meaningful for the community.
The festival highlighted the importance of creating spaces where everyone feels welcomed, valued, and free to be themselves. OFS is grateful to Dubois County Pride, its volunteers, and community partners for their continued work to foster connection, visibility, and support throughout the year.
