The Jasper Riverwalk in Jasper, IN came alive for the 6th annual Dubois County Pride Festival on Saturday, June 21, 2025. Friends, families, and allies traveled from all over to gather and celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. Hosted by Dubois County Pride, the plaza was transformed into a lively festival of love, identity, and a powerful sense of unity.
Festival-goers of all ages had the opportunity to experience all the Pride Fest had to offer. Food trucks served local favorites, sweet treats, and refreshing beverages. Numerous local organizations and vendors set up booths with resources, giveaways, and messages of support and visibility for the LGBTQIA+ community. The fest featured an open grass area with live music, aerial performances by Turners Circus, and kids bouncy castles, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere for all.
Rainbow fans and colorful picnic blankets were handed out as festival-goers settled into shady spots on the grass to relax, enjoy entertainment, and escape the heat. Created in partnership with Dubois County Pride and OFS, the blankets were crafted from vibrant, patterned surplus textiles and thoughtfully designed for small groups to encourage connection and community. Attendees were encouraged to use the blankets as seating in the grass and then take them home to keep and reuse.
At its heart, Pride is about building a community where everyone feels safe, seen, and free to be their authentic selves. This local festival was a powerful reminder of the importance of creating spaces that celebrate identity, foster connection, and uplift one another with kindness and joy.
