Chicago, ILOFS is proud to announce its partnership with acclaimed Chicago-based artist Liz Flores for this year’s Design Days, held in conjunction with NeoCon, and Chicago Design Week. As OFS celebrates the art of design, Flores’ work will be thoughtfully integrated throughout the Fulton Market showroom, creating an immersive environment that reflects both artistic expression and human connection.

Liz Flores, a muralist and painter born and raised in Berwyn, is known for her emotionally driven, narrative-rich work inspired by everyday human experiences, storytelling, and identity. Drawing from her Mexican and Cuban heritage, Flores creates pieces that explore themes of community, womanhood, and the evolving Latinx experience. Her murals and paintings, featured across the country and in collaborations with iconic Chicago institutions, bring a deeply personal yet universally resonant perspective to contemporary art.

For Design Days, OFS will incorporate Flores’ artwork throughout the showroom, allowing visitors to experience a seamless blend of art and interior design. Her abstract figures, layered compositions, and evocative use of color will enhance the spatial experience, inviting reflection and dialogue.

“Being part of Design Days with OFS is incredibly meaningful to me, especially in a city that has shaped so much of who I am,” said Liz Flores. “My work has always been about capturing feeling, about creating space for people to see themselves in it. To have that work live within a design environment, where people are already thinking about how spaces impact their lives, feels like a natural and powerful connection.”

Flores’ artistic process is rooted in emotion and introspection, often beginning with sketches and journaling to capture the feeling behind each piece. Her work embraces both confidence and vulnerability, reflecting the dynamic and deeply human nature of creativity.

“Liz’s work speaks to something deeper than aesthetics; it’s about connection, identity, and storytelling,” said Jami Brames, Senior Creative Director at OFS. “As we thought about Design Days and our presence during Chicago Design Week, we wanted to collaborate with an artist who embodies the spirit of the city while also pushing design forward. Liz does that in a way that feels authentic, emotional, and incredibly relevant to how we think about design today.”

This partnership underscores OFS’ commitment to elevating diverse voices and perspectives within the design community. By bringing Flores’ work into the showroom, OFS aims to create an experience that goes beyond product, one that celebrates creativity, culture, and the power of design to shape how we feel and connect.

“Art and design share a common purpose: they shape how we experience the world,” added Brames. “With Liz’s work woven throughout the showroom, we’re creating an environment that invites people to pause, reflect, and engage in a more meaningful way.”

OFS invites guests to experience this unique collaboration during Design Days at 1115 W Fulton Market and explore how art and design come together to tell a richer, more human story.
