OFS is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a Power BI Developer and Data Specialist role.
This individual will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models, with a technical focus on data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL/ELT) processes. The role will involve close collaboration with the data team and stakeholders to ensure robust data pipelines, high-quality reporting, and efficient data management to support business decisions across various departments, including sales, marketing, and operations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
  • Developing and maintaining Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring accuracy and optimal performance
  • Designing and managing data models, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
  • Supporting data loading (ETL/ELT) processes to ensure timely and accurate data availability
  • Monitoring and troubleshooting Power BI reports and data pipelines
  • Assisting with integrating new data sources into the data warehouse to enhance reporting
  • Identifying areas for process improvement in reporting and data handling
  • Collaborating with business users to ensure reports are understandable and actionable
  • Staying current with Power BI and related technologies to recommend best practices and optimizations

Skills and Qualifications (Required)

  • Proficiency in Power BI, including report development and data modeling
  • Strong experience with SQL for querying and manipulating data
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT processes, including data loading and transformation
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in computer science, engineering, or other technical/quantitative fields
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data accuracy and process optimization
  • Excellent communication skills to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git/GitLab for managing code and reporting versions

Skills and Qualifications (Preferred)

  • Experience with data warehouses and integrating multiple data sources
  • Knowledge of scripting or automation tools for data handling (e.g., Python, Spark)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Previous experience working with sales, marketing, or operations teams
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS)
