Northwestern Mutual Kenwood reimagined the traditional financial office to create a warm, inviting space that reflects their growing team and modern approach to financial planning. The result is a highly functional environment that feels authentic to the team, boosts productivity, and encourages connection. Today, the space has become a hub for teamwork, events, and meaningful interactions, both internally and with the community.
What was the company's vision for creating this space?
Jacki Purcell wanted to foster a new, inviting space for their growing team at Northwestern Mutual Kenwood. While traditional financial offices can feel strictly formal and professional, their team had a vision for something more. By combining natural light, biophilia, and natural materials like wood and stone, their team imagined a space that the team could be both proud of and comfortable in.
How has this new space impacted the Northwestern Mutual Kenwood team?
With a diverse team of financial advisors and staff, it was important for the space to reflect the Northwestern Mutual Kenwood team.
A key priority was creating areas where people could naturally gather, both to support their internal team, and to provide a welcoming environment for hosting community events. One of the highlights is the dedicated gathering area, which they affectionately call the “living room.” This space was designed to feel warm, open, and inviting for everyone who walks through our doors.
Today, the team has a space that reflects their vision and feels good to linger in, so they’ve already begun hosting events, socializing, and spending time together as a team.
