OFS announces the expansion of Kaleid, a design-driven workstation system that supports organizations to adapt over time through flexible power, rich materiality, and reconfigurable elements.

From workstations to workplace ecosystems: OFS expands Kaleid collection

by Aaron Estabrook

March 30, 2026, Huntingburg, IN — OFS announces the expansion of Kaleid, evolving the collection into a flexible workstation system that connects people, products, and spaces across the workplace. At its core, Kaleid is a power distribution system designed to support the essential elements of a workstation, including work surfaces, storage, and privacy, while extending beyond traditional applications. Originally created to support multifunctional environments, Kaleid now serves as a unifying framework for adaptable, cohesive work settings that evolve over time.

As organizations continue to rethink how and where work happens, Kaleid enables designers to build environments that respond to changing needs without sacrificing simplicity or materiality. Its flexible architecture is designed to evolve at the pace of organizational change, supporting a wide range of human needs while giving users the power of choice in how they work.

Designing workplaces that feel like neighborhoods

Inspired by the idea that “where people come together, culture grows,” Kaleid supports the creation of smaller workplace “neighborhoods,” spaces that balance focused work with opportunities for collaboration, all within a cohesive design language.

Kaleid was designed to give people options. It adapts as work evolves, making it easy to scale privacy, collaboration, storage, and power without adding complexity.

From isolated pieces to connected spaces

The expanded Kaleid collection introduces a new approach to workstation design, centered around adaptable power distribution. It supports the core elements expected within a workstation, including work surfaces, storage, and privacy, while enabling a broader range of applications that extend beyond traditional planning.

The collection includes a range of elements, from a variety of space division and tables to integrated power, shelving, mobile storage, and planters, all designed to create cohesive environments that evolve over time. By moving beyond static workstation planning, Kaleid offers a system with greater longevity and utility as workplace needs shift.

Rather than focusing on individual products, Kaleid acts as a connective layer, integrating solutions such as Riggs, Ramble, Ezel, and Heya into unified, adaptable spaces. The result is a system that supports change without requiring a complete redesign.

Designed to bring it all together

With a clean, consistent foundation, Kaleid allows designers to layer materials such as wood, powder coats, paints, textiles, biophilic elements, and more to create spaces with distinct character while maintaining visual continuity.

Kaleid was developed in partnership with award-winning London-based design Studio Webb, marking the studio’s 12th product for OFS and its latest contribution to the evolving workplace.

Kaleid was designed as a framework rather than a fixed solution. By focusing on power as the foundation, we were able to create a system that supports how people naturally move, work, and connect, while giving designers the freedom to shape spaces over time.
- Antonio da Costa, Designer at Studio Webb

Privacy and collaboration can be adjusted as needs shift, with privacy panels, storage, and shared elements that can be added, removed, or reconfigured over time, supporting both individual focus and collective work.

A system built for what’s next

By connecting elements across the OFS portfolio, Kaleid simplifies planning while supporting long-term flexibility. The result is a workplace designed to evolve, helping organizations adapt with confidence as work continues to change.

Kaleid is available to order with an eight-week lead time and can be experienced in person at Design Days and OFS showrooms across the country this summer.
