Peppermint Espresso Martini

A taste of wintery cheer

With the weather getting colder, fresh snow on the ground, and the holidays just around the corner, we're all ready to cozy up next to a fire with a festive drink. 

This holiday season, we've created something extra special for you: a holiday drink recipe created by our own hospitality manager, Anna Catt. It's the time of year for celebration and community, and this is the perfect way to spice up your holiday party. 

Peppermint Espresso Martini

Festive holiday drink recipeServes: 2

Prep time: 10 min

Ingredients:

  • Hot cocoa powder
  • Ice
  • Double shot of vodka (or water for a non-alcoholic version)
  • Dash of peppermint syrup
  • Double shot espresso
  • Peppermint stick (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Rim the glass with hot cocoa powder for sweetness
  2. Fill the shaker bottle with ice
  3. Add a double shot of vodka (or water for a non-alcoholic version), 
    a double shot of espresso, and a dash of peppermint syrup.
  4. Shake and strain into glass
  5. Enjoy!

Meet Anna: Even at a young age, Anna Catt had a passion for hospitality. Growing up in a family with 6 kids, food, drinks, and fostering a welcoming environment were a part of Anna's everyday life.

This led her to buy the Milk Parlor, a small coffee shop in her hometown of Huntingburg, Indiana at the age of 22. This café provided locally sourced food, delicious coffee, and a welcoming space for anyone who came through.

Therefore, when the hospitality manager position opened at OFS years later, Anna brought her expertise to OFS, creating an inviting, intentional, and wellness-focused place in the Roots Café at OFS.

 

 

 


 

Roots Cafe

Roots Café is a social hub at OFS and functions as an inviting gathering space for employees and guests.

The Café provides a personal experience where you can go to feel at home and at ease. We serve a variety of delicious house-made beverages, snacks, and healthy meal options for breakfast and lunch. Our focus is on offering whole, real foods that are locally sourced, minimizing overall waste and environmental impact. Many meals are prepared from scratch in our very own kitchen, and use ingredients from the Cool Springs gardens.

We understand that people need a comfortable place to re-charge their batteries and feel welcomed, and we hope that you can join us someday for a friendly chat over our signature drink, a Vanilla Bee Latte made with Cool Springs honey.
