HUNTINGBURG, IN, Feb. 27, 2025 - OFS and the Dubois County Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) honored the late Phil Gramelspacher with the OFS Brands Forest Stewardship Award at the 79th Annual SWCD Meeting on Thursday, February 20.
This award recognizes individuals committed to sustainable forestry and responsible land management.
Gramelspacher was a conservationist at his core. He felt a personal and professional responsibility to our natural resources and advocated for them to be managed to their fullest potential and benefit for all stakeholders within the region. Phil was a dedicated member to the Four Rivers Forestry Committee, Indiana Forest and Woodland Owners Association, National Woodland Owners Association, and the Invasive Species Council. He was an avid outdoorsman and a land steward. His work in promoting biodiversity, reforestation, and ethical forestry practices exemplified the values of OFS and the award's mission.
