Behind the scenes at Monat Headquarters

Monat Headquarters

Overview of the project and space.

MONAT Global is a leading international brand that specializes in healthy aging haircare, skincare, and wellness products. The company was founded with the mission to help people around the world achieve beautiful, healthy, and fulfilling lives through their exceptional and naturally based products.

The company's culture is centered around the values of family, service, and gratitude. This commitment to these values led to the construction of their new, three-story office building, developed by Jewel Toned Interiors and many other design partners from the surrounding Fort Lauderdale area.

What was the design vision for the space?

The design team envisioned a space that was clean, crisp, and wellness driven, much like the MONAT brand.  It was important that the interior design was intentional for employees at every level of the organization and that the design was calming, yet galvanizing. To support this vision, the building features open work environments with scenic outdoor views and ample greenery, including a stunning triple-height moss feature wall.

When we founded MONAT in 2014, we committed to building a culture of family, service, and gratitude. Bringing all our 384 Miami-area employees together in this beautiful new space reinforces that commitment.

How does the space reflect the mission and vision of the company?

Monat recognizes the importance of work-life balance and company culture. They built the office to demonstrate their commitment to their staff. Therefore, Jewel Toned Interiors designed the space to inspire and nurture Monat’s workforce while showcasing the beauty of the product line and the opportunities for career advancement. In some sense, the creation of this new office reflects Monat's mission and values.

One of Monat’s key taglines is, “We are modern nature.” So, Jewel Toned Interiors (and team) reflected this vision by designing a clean modern look combined with touches of nature.

What are a few key design details throughout the space?

The Monat team dedicated an entire area to GRATITUDE, the philanthropic arm of the MONAT brand.  It acts as a focal element right at the entry to the second floor, reminding staff of the organization’s dedication to giving back to the community.  This area has curvilinear architecture, a blend of pastel hues, and the iconic MONAT purple in an otherwise subdued workspace. A full wall of varied moss allows the space to have a biophilic element that invigorates both the people who work within it and those who pass by.

The top floor of the building houses a spacious executive suite, complete with its own boardroom, private offices, and kitchen. The core value of family is evident within this space with residential touches that make the leaders feel at home. Each detail was considered, allowing the staff the ease of an efficient workspace while promoting the brand’s story to every visiting brand ambassador. The MONAT story is an inspirational one and we’re confident this workspace will help them reach even greater heights.
