Impulse Private office, Height adjustable

Impulse personalizes the private office experience. The warmth of wood paired with movement through height adjustable choices in desks, bridges and returns tailors Impulse to an individual’s work style. Configured options balance the need for storage, or as we handle less paper, Impulse offers lighter elements centered around display. Fine wood craftsmanship and modern touches hints to a design language that quietly endures and transcends trends.

Questions and answers

Answers
Ask a question
How do the height adjustable units attach to static units?
The height adjustable returns, bridges, and single pedestal desks all have a 1” end panel on the connecting side (end panel ships separately on single pedestal desks). The end panel acts as a location to attach connecting hardware to the static attachment. It’s a good note to make that end panel DOES NOT go underneath the top of the connecting unit. The second purpose of the 1” end panels is to create a gap that would prevent a pinch point.
How do wallmount and highback doors open if there are no handles?
The doors stick out passed the apron rail, giving the doors a “finger pull” option. If handles are desired, they can be added per special request.
Where are the lock locations on desks?
Locks are often in the kneespace. The exceptions are lateral file and multifile desks. They require a different locking system. Also, if you order a modular set up, the locks will be on the drawer fronts since there is no standard placement for where a modular unit is used.
Can multiple height adjust units be made to raise and lower together?
This can be done, but not as a standard. If multiple tops are required to raise and lower together, a special will need to be requested with this feature.
What are the wire management options with the height adjustable units?
In the height adjustable desks, there is a shelf in the kneespace with notched corners and the peds have 3” grommet holes right below the shelf. The peds also have cutouts in the bottoms to run the wires out of the peds. For Impulse, the returns and bridges have a wire management device that runs into the back cavity and out the ped, back, or bottom, depending on which back option you choose.
How do runoff table units ship?
They ship KD (Knocked Down), meaning that they do not ship fully assembled. An example is a 5-6630EBTL. The modesty and leg ship unattached, whereas the end panel and top are attached with hinge brackets. This will make install easier while at the same time save on shipping costs. Bridges and HADs also ship this way.
What color are the legs in the height adjustable units?
Luster Grey
